COVID Can’t Stop Give Kids A Smile

Despite the ongoing pandemic, on the first Friday in February, Park Dental participated in Give Kids a Smile for the 18th year in a row. Our group joined dental practices around Minnesota and the country to provide free oral health services to underserved children in celebration of National Children’s Dental Health Month.

This year, 8 Park Dental practices, 20 doctors and 89 team members opened their doors and volunteered for 28 hours, saw more than 157 children, and provided over $73,000 worth of free dental care. Doctors and team members conducted exams, filled cavities, applied sealants and fluoride, performed extractions and other necessary procedures, and educated children on the importance of dental care. With advanced protocols in place due to COVID-19, our doctors and team members volunteered their time and expertise, and worked extensively to ensure the safety of the children while in their care.

We look forward to continuing to help children in need have better oral health and, ultimately, overall health through events like Give Kids a Smile in the future.
